Sheriff Lanny North announced the arrest of a 29 year old Logan man on 3 counts of sexual battery and 3 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, all felonies of the third degree.
The Sheriff’s Office and Hocking County Children’s Services began investigating a complaint that the man had engaged in sexual conduct with a minor teenage female after allegations were recently reported to authorities.
Through their investigation, detectives and case workers learned that the suspect, while serving as a youth pastor, began having sexual relations with the victim as she was a member of the church. It is alleged that the offenses took place between November 2010 and February 2011.
The man was arrested at his home without incident on October 25, 2011 and transported to the SEORJ to await his appearance before Hocking County Municipal Court Judge Pauline O’Neill.
