The arrest came after deputies were called to a Canaan Twp home when the homeowner discovered that twelve firearms and jewelry had been stolen from the residence. As the investigation unfolded deputies determined that the man was a suspect and made contact with him at a Rittman home.
Upon seeing the deputies’ approach, the man ran from the door and was later found under the covers of his bed. While performing a consent search of the home, the deputies located eleven of the stolen firearms in the basemen tand the missing jewelry under the mans clothing.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Jail.
