Washington County Deputies arrest man for importuning.

On November 4th, the Washington County Sheriff’s responded to a Washington County residence and spoke with the mother of a fourteen year old girl. The mother advised she had discovered text messages on her fourteen year old daughter’s cell phone from a 20, year old, Marietta man. The man was allegedly asking the fourteen year old to perform sexual acts, photograph them, and send them to him.
The fourteen year old admitted to her mother that she had sent one picture of her vagina to the man at his request. The fourteen year old also advised the man had requested they have sex.

The man was arrested for importuning (Felony 5 Offense) and remains incarcerated in the Washington County Jail in lieu of bond pending an appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on Monday. Additional charges of Complicity to Illegal Use of a Minor in Nudity Oriented Material or Performance (Felony 3) are pending following cell phone analysis.
