Delaware County Deputies arrest man for theft of iPads and credit cards.

(DELAWARE COUNTY, OH) February 21, 2012 – A Zanesville man is in the Delaware County Jail charged with felony theft after stolen property was recovered in his vehicle during a traffic stop. On Saturday, February 18 deputies were dispatched to the Wal-Mart on Columbus Pike in Lewis Center on a report of customer using a fraudulent credit card. Deputies responded to the location where they were advised the suspect fled after being approached by a loss prevention officer.

Dispatchers advised the responding deputies that the suspect fled northbound on Columbus Pike in a gold Pontiac Vibe. Deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Several stolen credit cards, business cards and receipts were located in the suspects pockets. Deputies also recovered multiple stolen iPads.
The man remains in the Delaware County Jail on $15,000 bond.
