Washington County Sheriff reports man being arrested for having nine pounds of marijuana.

Last night Major Crimes Task Force Agents arrested a 43 year old man of Belpre, on a third degree felony charge of trafficking in marijuana. Task Force Agents executed a search warrant at the mans residence and seized over nine pounds of marijuana, digital scales and a vacuum sealing machine.
 The Major Crimes Task Force is a multi-faceted organization composed of representatives from the Marietta Police Department; the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff’s Office.
