Hocking County Deputies arrest man after theft of a purse.

(Logan, OH) – Hocking County Sheriff Lanny E. North reports that on February 8, 2012 deputies began investigating the breaking and entering and grand theft of a purse from a vehicle while it was parked at White’s Hardware in Laurelville.

Through investigation and eyewitness identification, a 36 year old man of Laurelville was identified as a suspect. Deputies and detectives were able to locate the suspect at his residence and arrest him on an outstanding bond revocation from Hocking County Municipal Court. After being questioned by detectives, the man confessed to the theft.

Detectives are currently working with the Prosecutors Office to determine charges. Detectives do expect Cole to be charged in the coming week for his current offense.
The man is currently has pending charges of misdemeanor theft in Hocking County Municipal Court and felony breaking and entering and tampering with evidence charges in Common Pleas Court.
