Aided by the Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Team, the Major Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of a 27 year old woman at 121 E. Spring Street, Marietta, Feb 27th. Task Force Agents obtained information that a fugitive wanted in Summit County for felony drug possession frequented the residence. The fugitive, age 31, 428 Crestwood Avenue, Akron, was located in the home and arrested without incident.
Under questioning, the woman admitted knowing that the man had an active warrant and said he stayed at her residence intermittently for the past three weeks. Despite the fact that Agents observed marijuana on a dining room table, cocaine in kitchen cabinets, and unidentified pills in a kitchen drawer and a kitchen pantry, the woman denied knowing that the man had any narcotics in the house. All of the narcotics were easily accessible to the four year old child in the home and visible in plain sight. Consequently, the woman was arrested on a fifth degree felony charge of obstruction of justice and a misdemeanor charge of child endangering.
While the male is being held pending transportation to Summit County, the female is being held without bond pending her initial court appearance
