Washington County deputies arrest two men for heroin and cocaine possession.

A three week investigation that originated in Washington County with Agents of the Major Crimes Task Force concluded last night with the arrest of two suspects who were delivering heroin and cocaine to individuals in Washington County to sell in our area.

In the prior two weeks Agents from both Task Forces were able to purchase twenty-four grams of heroin from one of the suspects. The investigation came to a conclusion last night when Agents arranged for the delivery of twenty grams of heroin and one ounce of cocaine from the two men. While en route to Washington County, the men were stopped in Tuscarawas County and found in possession of the heroin and cocaine. Both subjects were arrested and subsequently incarcerated in Tuscarawas County. Both suspects have extensive criminal histories, including three previous drug trafficking convictions.


The Major Crimes Task Force is a multi-faceted organization composed of representatives from the Marietta Police Department; the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney and Sheriff’s Office.
