Washington County Sheriff reports arrest of man for possession of cocaine and marijuana.
A search warrant executed by Agents of the Major Crimes Task Force resulted in the seizure of 1.45 grams of cocaine, 324 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and over $2,000 in cash. In addition to the narcotics found at 1924 State Route 550, Bartlett, Agents located digital scales and sandwich bags that are indicative of a drug trafficking operation. Questioned about the items, the home’s resident admitted the drugs and other contraband belonged to him but denied using the scales to engage in selling drugs. Despite his denial, the man was arrested on a fourth degree felony charge of trafficking in marijuana and a fifth degree felony charge of possession of cocaine.
