Wayne County Deputies arrest men for theft of lawn equipment.
Deputies arrested two Stark County men last night after learning they were involved in a theft from a Green Twp. business.
A witness called our office at 1:45 AM to report two men loading equipment into a vehicle on Back Orrville Rd.
Deputies responded and stopped the vehicle near the intersection of US 30 and SR 57. Upon doing so they discovered nearly $5000.00 worth of stolen lawn and garden equipment in the vehicle. Both the driver and passenger were arrested for the theft of this equipment.
While both men have extensive criminal records, one of the suspect’s case is unique by the fact that deputies arrested him (after a pursuit) in May of 2011 for stealing lawn equipment from the same business. The man received 10 months in prison for that theft
