Gallia County Sheriff reports arrest of suspect for rape of 12 year old girl.
An Oak Hill man has been arrested on 4 counts of Felony Rape and one count of Tampering with Evidence following an investigation by Gallia County Deputies and Ohio BCI&I agents.
A 54 year old man of Cambria Furnace Road, Oak Hill, was arrested at his home just after midnight Tuesday morning. The arrest came after an investigation by the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification found that he had allegedly been engaging in sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old Gallia County girl.
Officers from the Oak Hill Police Department contacted the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office with the information after the mother of the girl came to them on Monday.
