Gallia County Deputies were dispatched on November 19, 2012 to an alleged stabbing at 8:36pm on Clark Chapel Rd in Springfield Twp. Gallia County . Upon arrival the a woman exited the mobile home with her left arm behind her back, walking towards the Deputies and refused to show her hands. Defendant finally complied and stopped at the front of the cruiser. Defendant finally showed her hands and she had dried blood smeared on the left side of her neck, on her left arm, and both calves. Defendant was taken into custody and Gallia Co. Deputies entered the mobile home and saw blood droplets on the kitchen floor and on the living room carpet. There was a towel with blood and soaked in bleach in the bedroom. In the kitchen sink were two butcher knives with blood on the blade and handle.
The victim stated that he and the Defendant were at her house and they were drinking. Victim states he was lying on the couch when the Defendant charged at him with a knife in each hand and started cutting him and attempted to stab him. The victim stated he started to run and the Defendant cut him and he fell. The victim stated that the Defendant told him to take his clothes off that she was going to kill him. The victim stated that his phone rang and when the Defendant turned to answer it, he ran to the neighbors and called for help.
The suspect was taken into custody and charged Felonious Assault (with knowingly cause or attempt to cause physical harm to William Hatten, by means of a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance, to-wit: a butcher knife, in violation of Section 2903.11(A)(2) of the Ohio Revised Code.) A felony of the second degree.
