Hocking County Deputies Arrest Man for Illegal Manufacture of Drugs An More

On Friday, June 21st, at approximately 3:14 am, Hocking County deputies stopped a 31 year old man, of Pomeroy, Ohio in Haydenville for a traffic violation. Upon initial contact with the man, he provided false information about his identity to conceal that he had numerous warrants for his arrest from three different law enforcement agencies.
Upon learning his identity, he was taken into custody for outstanding from Athens County for Possession of Heroin and Child Endangering, Vinton County for Failure to Appear and Hocking County for Failure to Appear.
According to Sheriff Lanny North, heroin was located on Smith’s person and a mobile methamphetamine manufacturing lab was located inside the vehicle.

Detectives from the Fairfield-Hocking Major Crimes Unit were requested to respond to neutralize the methamphetamine lab. Located inside the vehicle was finished powdered methamphetamine that was prepackaged for sale along with approximately 40 ounces of what is believed to be liquid methamphetamine.
The man was arrested for his outstanding warrants and additionally charged with Illegal Manufacture of Drugs, F-2), Illegal Assembly of Chemicals, F-3), Trafficking in Drugs (methamphetamine), F-4), Possession of drugs (heroin), F-5), Identity Fraud (F-5) and was issued a citation for the traffic violations.
