Due to the large community concern and the offices desire to do what it could to investigate the matter before the holiday weekend, a case was opened and assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Detectives. The matter was thoroughly investigated and found to be unsubstantiated.
The reporting person was confronted with the investigative analysis in a follow up interview and what was gathered by responding deputies at the time of the reported event. The staff member, on July 3, 2013, admitted to investigators that the claim was false. No such person existed as it was reported. Management at Glen Helen and Antioch College were advised of the updates.
The matter with all facts gathered will be reviewed with the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office at a later date.
The Sheriff’s Office and its partners would like to thank the community and Antioch University for its great patience while the event was properly investigated.
The area parks are open for the holiday and ready your safe enjoyment.
