Darke County Deputies arrest man for aggravated robbery

On September 6, 2011 at approximately 1:25 PM, the Darke County 911 Center received a call requesting help in reference to a man that was observed holding a revolver up to the head of another family member inside the residence located at 2861 Cox Road

Deputies from the Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded to that residence and learned that the male suspect involved had already left the residence and was the grandson of the victim.  Family members confirmed that their 33 year old grandson of North Star, Ohio, had pointed a revolver at his grandfather’s head during an argument over money.
A description of both the suspect, the vehicle he was driving, and his possible direction of travel were obtained and relayed to other responding Deputies.

At approximately 1:49 PM, Deputies located the suspect driving northbound on US127.  Deputies conducted a felony traffic stop in the area of
Wabash-York Road
where Mr. Thomas was taken into custody without incident on charges of Aggravated Robbery.  No injuries were reported by the victim.

This case remains under investigation. More information can be found here
