Sheriff Lanny North announced today that deputies responding to a breaking and entering in progress arrested two individuals early this morning.
Deputies responded a Logan Horns Mill Rd address at 4:03 A.M. on a report of a breaking and entering in progress. Lester Waldren reported an alarm in a building on his property alerted him. He found one person leaving his building and after a brief conversation, the person fled in his vehicle. As the suspect fled down Waldren’s driveway, Waldren saw the suspect stop in the driveway and pick another individual up before fleeing the area.
Deputies, while enroute to the scene, alerted Logan Police of the suspect’s and vehicle description. Logan Police were able to stop the suspects as they entered the City of Logan and hold them for the deputies’ arrival. After inventorying the suspect’s vehicle, stolen property from Fairfield County was also discovered in the vehicle.
Two men from Logan were arrested and charged with Breaking and Entering & theft. They were also charged with Receiving Stolen Property stemming from the Fairfield County incident. Both were transported to SEORJ will be arraigned in Hocking County Municipal Court.
